An Entrepreneurship Development Programme
was conducted in Banikodar block with UPNEDA’s support. Women were trained to produce LED bulbs, Jhalar lights, fans, and lanterns. They established a small unit at the block office, producing and selling these items locally and securing an order from a Jharkhand-based NGO
Covid – Awareness
A Covid-19 awareness program was conducted in Block Siddhaur, Barabanki, and nearby areas. People were informed about preventive measures like wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining a 1-yard distance, and avoiding crowds. Ration kits, masks, and sanitizers were also distributed.
Participation in SIDBI Diwali Shilp Mahotsava 2022:
The women of WRF showcased products like LED items, honey, pickles, papad, and marmalade at SIDBI’s Diwali Shilp Mahotsava #Vocal for Local, 2022. They were honored with participation certificates by the SIDBI Director, who appreciated their efforts.
Program at Ayodhya
A three-day program was organized by NABARD in Ayodhya, where women from WRF set up two stalls featuring organic farming products and LED/solar items. The District Magistrate of Ayodhya visited the stalls and interacted with the women, discussing their products and production processes.
Organic Products Production and Marketing
The initiative focuses on producing high-quality organic products and promoting their marketing. It empowers rural communities by enhancing sustainable farming practices and creating market opportunities, contributing to both environmental conservation and economic growth.
Organic Compost and Fertilizer Training
Rural people were trained in vermi compost and organic fertilizers like EMC, Jeevamrut, and Neemastra. This helped lower production costs and enhanced soil fertility.
Plantation Drive for Environmental Conservation
To promote a greener environment, over 200 trees were planted in Barabanki with the active participation of women, contributing to improved environmental conditions.
